Unveiling HVAC knowledge! 🔥💨❄️

2025-09-06

HVAC, which sounds a bit high-end, is actually a small field in construction engineering that specializes in heating, cooling, ventilation, and air conditioning. Today, I am here to share some small knowledge about HVAC with you, hoping to help you! 💡

Heating System: Warmth Your Home 🏠

The heating system is like a radiator at home, transferring heat energy to the building through equipment such as boilers and heat exchangers, allowing us to live a comfortable life even in the cold winter. There are two common heating systems: centralized heating and individual heating.

Central heating: Hot water or steam comes out of the boiler and is transported to each room through pipelines, just like installing a "central air conditioning" in the home.

Household heating: Each room has its own heating equipment, such as a heater, radiator, etc., which is flexible and convenient.

Cooling system: cool in summer 🌬️

In summer, the cooling system becomes our good helper. The most common air conditioning system absorbs heat through refrigerant and evaporator, and then discharges the heat outdoors. Solar cooling systems are an environmentally friendly option that utilizes the heat generated by solar energy for cooling.

Ventilation system: breathe fresh air 🌬️

The ventilation system is responsible for controlling the flow of air inside the building, ensuring the entry of fresh air and the discharge of polluted air. Natural ventilation and mechanical ventilation are two common ventilation methods.

Natural ventilation: Utilizing the structure and airflow principles of buildings, it is achieved through methods such as opening windows and air vents.

Mechanical ventilation: achieved through equipment such as fans and ventilation ducts, suitable for places where natural ventilation is not very convenient.

Air conditioning system: all-round comfort ❄️💨

The air conditioning system not only provides heating and cooling, but also controls indoor temperature, humidity, and air quality, providing a comfortable environment in all aspects. The air conditioning system is divided into central air conditioning and decentralized air conditioning.

Central air conditioning: Suitable for larger buildings, it delivers cold and hot air to various rooms through condensate pipes and air ducts.

Distributed air conditioning: suitable for smaller spaces, usually a single indoor unit that directly provides cooling or heating indoors.
